About US

The Portraits of Women was born from the desire to tell the complexity and the beauty of the stories hidden behind every woman’s face. This project goes beyond the image. Each portrait holds a memory, a voice, a fragment of life that deserves to be seen and heard. Through gazes, gestures, and silences, we explore the strength, vulnerability and nuances that shape each woman’s identity, creating a space free from labels and stereotypes. Here, every story finds its place, every face its dignity. The Portraits of Women is an invitation to truly see, to recognize the uniqueness of every path, and to build collective memory through art and empathy. We believe that telling and observing with sincerity is an act of respect and care, a way to give value to every story and to ensure that no voice is left unseen or unheard.

The photographs were created by the students from the University of Padua, who posed to represent the country they come from. Similarly, the texts were written by other students who, like in a mosaic, blended reality and fiction, personal experiences and imagination.
